Disney confirms there will be a second season of Star Wars The Bad batch

It is confirmed that Star Wars: The Bad batch will have a second season, the first season of which is close to its outcome on Disney Plus.


On May 4, coinciding with Star Wars day, Disney Plus premiered in its catalog Star Wars: The Bad batch , the new animated series created by Dave Filoni based on the popular galactic franchise.

Set in the post-Clone Wars and Order 66 era, the Star Wars series: The Bad batch centers its plot on the Clone Force 99 , a group of defective clones that were featured in the Star Wars The Clone Wars series , forming a elite team specialized in tasks considered most dangerous for normal clones.

Such is the success with the series that Disney has just announced that Star Wars: The Bad batch will have a second season in which to continue watching the adventures of Sergeant Hunter and his squad.

“Fans have enthusiastically embraced the action and drama of Star Wars: The Bad batch, and it is wonderful to see the Star Wars animated universe continue to expand on Disney +,” said Michael Paull , president of Disney + and ESPN +, through of a statement. “We can’t wait for fans of this animated series to enjoy season two.”

For his part, Dave Filoni was enthusiastic about the renewal of Star Wars: The Bad batch , thanking the platform and the fans for their confidence in the project. “The entire Lucasfilm animation team and I want to thank Disney + and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of La Remesa mala,” he said.

The end of season 1 of Star Wars: The Bad batch will be divided into two episodes and its first part will land on Disney Plus on August 6, 2021.
