Rupert Friend’s role in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series may have been revealed by the Bespin Bulletin and its sources.
Tomorrow the tour of The Book of Boba Fett on Disney Plus ends, and fans already glimpse the arrival of the new Star Wars series in real action on the horizon.
It will be the Obi-Wan Kenobi series , which will land on Disney Plus, presumably, in May 2022 , possibly on the 4th, on the occasion of May the 4th .
The series will take us back to the years when the legendary Jedi Master went into exile on Tatooine , keeping an eye on Luke Skywalker as he grew up with Owen and Beru Lars .
One of the officially unrevealed roles is that of Rupert Friend ( Hitman: Agent 47 ), but that might have changed thanks to Bespin Bulletin .
Star Wars scooper sources reportedly confirmed that Friend will play the Grand Inquisitor in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
The Grand Inquisitor was a key villain in the Star Wars Rebels series , and he can make a lot of sense in a series as a Jedi hunter.
Sources also seem to confirm that there are two other Inquisitors, presumably played by Moses Ingram ( Queen’s Gambit ) and Sung Kang (Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift).
As we always indicate in this type of news, you have to take everything with tweezers. There is no official confirmation that these are the roles that the interpreters will play.
However, seeing the close relationship that live-action and animated series are having in Star Wars, it is very possible that “when the river sounds…” is true.
How would you like Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram and Sung Kang to play a trio of Inquisitors hunting down Obi-Wan Kenobi and the rest of the hidden Jedi?
Remember that, before that, tomorrow we will have the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, with some surprises that could come in the end.
