Halo fans are so committed to the franchise that they are carefully reviewing every detail of the TV series that will premiere on March 24 on Paramount +, even though it has been confirmed that it is far removed from what we saw in the video games of Bungie and 343 Industries . Precisely, this passion for the Xbox IP allowed them to notice a curious detail that has given rise to some doubts because it is not an error.
A TAHOE TRUCK IN THE 26TH CENTURY?
After the premiere of the last and impressive trailer of the Halo series , some fans noticed a curious detail and that is that in one of the action sequences a Chevrolet Tahoe truck of some model between 2001 and 2006 can be seen in the background. The detail is that the events of the series take place in the 26th century, that is, after 2501. What the hell is a truck doing there with 500 years on its wheels? It is not a production error in fact, because according to those responsible, it is there for a reason.
During an interview with Polygon , Steven Kane, producer, and Kiki Wolfkill, creative director of 343i, were questioned about this detail and confirmed that it was not something that the production passed by, but that it has a meaning: “there is no There’s such a thing as a shot too fast to miss something. We have to assume that every frame will be scrutinized. It’s scary and exhilarating to know that people care so much, but that Tahoe truck is there for a reason.”
An easter egg? Anything related to the Halo installments that came out on Xbox from 2001 to 2006? Any symbol for the production that spent a decade trying to make this project a reality? This and other questions will find their answer on March 24, the date on which the Halo TV series will premiere on Paramount +.
