ATTENTION: This article contains spoilers for the third season of The Mandalorian. The photographs of the filming of season 3 of The Mandalorian reveal the return of a character.
The second season of The Mandalorian brought with it a nice batch of Star Wars characters , both familiar and brand new.
The third episode of the season brought back Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) along with two Mandalorian warriors: Ax Woves (Simon Kassianides) and Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) .
However, Ax Woves did not appear in The Mandalorian season 2 finale , leaving many fans to wonder what had happened to the character.
Simon Kassianides himself went to social networks to reassure those who feared for the fate of his character: “There will be answers. This is the way.”
The answers will be found in season 3 of The Mandalorian. The shoot has spent a few days shooting outdoors in Long Beach, where they have been captured by the ever-ready Bespin Bulletin cameras .
Among the photographs taken on the set, we can see a couple, taken from a considerable distance, in which we see Simon Kassianides dressed as Ax Woves .
Obviously, we don’t know the specific context of Woves’ return to action. We will have to wait for the arrival of the series to properly unravel that mystery.
The Mandalorian season 3 promises a promising journey through the Mandalorian legacy during Din Djarin’s quest for redemption.
During The Book of Boba Fett , the Armorer, played by Emily Swallow , discovered that Din Djarin had removed his helmet in the presence of others.
This made him unworthy of being a Mandalorian. To regain her honor from him she must travel to the mines of Mandalore , which was razed to the ground by the Empire during the years of Palpatine’s rule.
Season 2 of The Mandalorian also made it clear to us that the intentions of Bo-Katan and his allies was to recover Mandalore , for which they were acquiring a significant arsenal at the expense of the imperial remnants.
This is very possibly where Ax Woves comes into play again, either on the surface of Mandalore itself or in one of those “preparation missions” that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni like to offer us so much .
