343 Industries has officially explained why he removed the Assassinations behind in online to Halo Infinite , as verified by those who had the opportunity to try the test flight, who were present in previous Halo.
The reason is very simple: they represent a disadvantage for many players, so they have been removed and are in the process of being fixed. If you find a useful way to reintroduce them, which doesn’t penalize everyone’s gameplay, then they will surely come back with some future updates.
In the other Halo, back kill animations are triggered when you reach an enemy without being seen and manage to hit them on the back. The problem is that they often start by mistake even when the player wants to carry out a simple melee attack (which still kills the unsuspecting enemy on the spot). Now, during the Assassinations, whoever is executing it is basically at the mercy of the opponents, who can eliminate him while standing still causing him to lose the kill itself.
If you wanted it was possible to disable these animations also in the other Halo, but with Infinite 343 Industries he wanted to give an official answer to what many players have always considered a problem, although some believe that an immediate kill must still involve risks, in order not to unbalance too much gameplay.
For the rest, Halo Infinite will be released later this year on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S. It does not have an official date yet
