“Building the next generation of Battlefield during a global pandemic has created unpredictable challenges for development teams,” said Oskar Gabrielson , general manager of DICE. “Given the scale and breadth of the game, we hoped our team would could get back together in the studios once we get close to launch, but with the current conditions still not allowing a safe return to normal and all the work the developers are doing from home, we consider it important to take some time extra to try to achieve the full vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players. “
