Capcom explains why they developed Monster Hunter Stories 2

We are in E3 days and the news of the most anticipated titles by all players continues to arrive. One of them is Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin , a sequel to the acclaimed Nintendo 3DS game, which gave us a new vision of what the franchise can offer.

There is very little left for the launch of the title on Nintendo Switch and Capcom shared some details to the Gamer medium about the reasons that led the company to develop this long-awaited sequel and the process that followed:

“We got a lot of feedback from users on the previous game and we also wanted to do a sequel. However, when doing 2 we run various verifications and tests, including charts, to determine what kind of game to do for those who played the previous title and those who can play 2 for the first time. As a result, I think we have made a very satisfactory sequel ”.

In addition, they talked about the difference in the genre of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin compared to the main titles:

“The genre of Stories is RPG, that is, Monster Hunter but not focused on action. Those who are playing Monster Hunter can enjoy RPG with that worldview, and those who like RPG should definitely play it. “

Finally, the company highlighted that in the game you can have a monster as a partner:

“ Monster Hunter is a very popular title with monster characters. This time you can have a monster as a partner, so I think you will be more attached to him than ever. Although this does not happen in the main Monster Hunters , it is a series that we want to grow as a new pillar ”.

There is little left until Capcom will have their conference at E3 2021 and we are sure more details about Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be revealed before its launch on July 9, so we will be waiting to share them with you.
