Dead Space, the horror is returning: who is working on the ambitious Remake?

With the official presentation of the first teaser trailer of the new Dead Space , the management of Electronic Arts has confirmed the imminent return of the disturbing sci-fi work.

With an ambitious makeover, the remake aims to bring the unforgettable horror of Dead Space to next gen consoles and PC . To this end, EA has over time assembled a development team made up of great fans of the original work, which boasts veterans from large video game companies. At the helm of the new Dead Space, we first find Senior Producer Philippe Ducharme , Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola and Art Director Mike Yazijian .

The first was specifically hired by Electronic Arts for the realization of the remake during October 2020. The second has instead left the ranks of Ubisoft Montréal after working as artistic director for For Honor . Previously, Campos-Oriola was also dedicated to the development of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Red Steel 1 and Red Steel 2 . Finally, Yazijian instead is not new to the universe of the survival horror series: the Art Director has in fact contributed to the development of Dead Space 2. The professional has also held the same position recently for Star Wars: Squadrons and Batman Arkham: Origin .

The trio is flanked by many valuable professionals, among which we can mention Dino Ignacio , developers of the original Dead Space, Gary Stewart , veteran of the BioWare Mass Effect series, and Eric Baptizat , Game Director of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
