Diablo II Resurrected details its accessibility options: automatic gold pickup, adjustable captions, interface scaling, and more

This year one of the best games in history will return. Blizzard is preparing Diablo II Resurrected , the HD remaster for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC that will hit stores on September 23 . And be careful, because it will be more accessible than we thought.

While Diablo IV has been delayed until 2022 , this remaster of Diablo II will mark the return of the saga for PC and consoles , and also with the bonus of being more accessible to all players. You won’t need to be an ace to play the title, thanks to its accessibility options .

Blizzard has detailed some of these accessibility options for Diablo II Resurrected , following the success of its alpha version on PC . Its creators want the RPG to be much more accessible than its original version, with all kinds of improvements that will help all players to enter the saga .

At the moment, and based on the experience of the alpha, a series of options have been detailed. For example, for the less skilled there will be an automatic gold collection function , while players with vision problems will be able to expand the size of the texts and subtitles.

In the visual aspect, you can configure the brightness, contrast, colors and aspect ratio of the image to your taste . The PC version will include tons of options, but Blizzard will also bring these setup features to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

” Diablo II is primarily a game about picking up and holding items and persistently clicking. We know that long holds and repetitive actions can be a significant barrier for some players, so we have added quality of life features to help mitigate the fatigue caused by many of these actions . We also allow many controller abilities to be activated continuously by holding down the button for players who cannot repeatedly press buttons quickly, ” says Drew McCrory.

Blizzard has commented on what the automatic gold collection feature consists of . It was originally added to make things easier for those who play with a controller, but it is also a way to relieve stress and make Diablo II Resurrected more accessible .

Another very interesting function has to do with texts. Beyond increasing the texts, subtitles and font of each dialogue, we can also enable the texts for errors . When the player’s attack fails, we will be notified in real time of this, something that was not in the original game.

Diablo II Resurrected will hit stores September 23, available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch . Pre-orders are now available for all versions, except for Switch, which offer access to the RPG beta .
