DOOM Eternal: the update for PS5 and Xbox Series X arrives this month with support for 4K

During the Microsoft conference at E3 2021, a space was also dedicated to Bethesda products already available on the market and their updates: among these there is also DOOM Eternal , which will receive the next-gen update very soon.

In addition to offering us a short clip of the game, the conference of the Redmond giant confirmed the presence of multiple graphics modes that will allow players to customize their gaming experience by choosing whether to enhance the resolution up to 4K , whether or not to activate the Ray Tracing or whether to sacrifice the graphics sector to play at 120 frames per second .

Here are the supported platforms and related graphics modes:

Xbox Series X

  • Performance Mode: 1800p – 120 FPS
  • Balanced Mode: 2160p – 60 FPS
  • Ray Tracing Mode: 1800p – 60 FPS

Xbox Series S

  • Performance Mode: 1080p – 120 FPS
  • Balanced Mode: 1440p – 60 FPS
  • Ray Tracing Mode: Not available

PlayStation 5

  • Performance Mode: 1584p – 120 FPS
  • Balanced Mode: 2160p – 60 FPS
  • Ray Tracing Mode: 1800p – 60 FPS

The update, which is scheduled to arrive on June 29, 2021 , will be free for all owners of the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S and, of course, for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
