Dying Light : no upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X, Techland’s focus is on the sequel and other projects

Ahead of the launch of Dying Light 2 : Stay Human, many fans would gladly replay the first chapter, perhaps with the excuse of an upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S . However, at the moment Techland is completely absorbed in the development of the sequel and other projects.

In an interview with MP1st , lead level designer Piotr Pawlaczyk explained that developers know that fans want an upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S but their efforts are currently focused on completing the work on Dying Light 2: Stay Human, as well as making other projects.

“We are currently focused on the launch of Dying Light 2 and other projects. I have nothing to announce about it right now, but we listen to our fans and know what they want,” says Pawlaczyk. Words that, however, do not exclude a priori an upgrade for Dying Light after the publication of the expected sequel.

On PS4 and Xbox One, the first chapter runs at 30 fps, with Xbox Series X being able to bring the Techland title to 60 fps thanks to the FPS Boost mode. Obviously an upgrade made ad hoc for next-gen consoles should give better results, perhaps integrating faster loading times, various grafts to the graphics sector or, in the case of PS5, support for Dualsense.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will debut on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, PS4 and Xbox One on November 7th.
