In Elden Ring we will find ourselves in a large, open world, which in terms of scale will significantly exceed previous From Software projects. It is for this reason that the developers had to react and use the well-known mechanics that Ubisoft started.
Yasuhiro Kitao from From Software spoke to Jagatplay journalists, to whom he revealed another curiosity about the Elden Ring . In the game, we will witness such a large world that the authors decided to implement watchtowers known from, among others, the Assassin’s Creed series, thanks to which we will be able to see previously inaccessible locations – in this case small dungeons.
“Players are indeed likely to miss some of these small dungeons in The Lands Between, especially during exploration. But relax, we’re also implementing some ways to help you find these dungeons. For example, you could find a structure called a Watchtower that will give you clearer vision around. You can zoom in with this structure, finding dungeons that will automatically mark on your map.”
In the case of larger dungeons (Legacy Dungeons), there will be no character level restrictions, but at some points we will have to obtain a specific item to be able to enter the location.
