Square Enix is preparing for the launch of the early access phase of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker which anticipates the official release of the expected expansion by one week. However, the publisher has published a press release to warn players of possible slowdowns and long waiting times expected to enter the game world.
In a long post published on the official website, Square Enix has in fact expressed its concerns about the possible slowdowns and the long waiting times that players may encounter in the first days of the release of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker . The Japanese giant has specified that it has optimized the servers in anticipation of the increase in traffic but the global shortage of chips has conditioned the addition of new devices that would have helped considerably to decongest the queues.
Square Enix then offered a series of suggestions aimed at ensuring an enjoyable experience with Endwalker: if their favorite server is full, players could temporarily opt for a different, less crowded one in the same data center. Furthermore, the publisher recommends creating new characters before the expansion arrives, because the editor will be disabled on congested servers when Endwalker is released.
