Final Fantasy VII Remake is updated and adds the function to transfer the game from PS4 to PS5: this is how it works

Final Fantasy VII Remake has received an update for PS4 that could well be described as a surprise, since it has added the function of transferring game from one console to another. In a few days, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the PS5 version of the Square Enix game, will go on sale.

This new version, in addition to the improvements that you can benefit from thanks to the PS5 system, will add a new chapter as DLC, that of Yuffie. For this reason, and as current players of the game on PS4 will be able to update for free to the PS5 version, it is an indication of the preparation that they will gradually make before June 10.

How will it work? You will need to upload the saved game file from the cloud, for that reason you will have to start Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4, play it on PS5, go to the option to transfer game and start the option. This can be done in advance on PS5 consoles because, of course, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is not for sale yet.

When the game is released on June 10 , all you have to do is download the save file and continue playing on PS5 . Of course, surely you will not be able to have a PS4 save file on PS5 and expect the Intergrade version to reproduce the PS4 version without having to go through this process of transferring games.

The easiest thing is to do everything from your PS5 with a copy of Final Fantasy VII Remake, so the save file can be transferred directly to the console from the cloud. In addition, this option to transfer games will also do the same for trophies.

New stop along the way before you can play Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
