FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch is coming to PC, PS4 and PS5 in September

After missing one more year from E3 2021, Sony held its first event of the summer tonight. In this new State of Play , the company revealed new projects and shared numerous updates of titles long awaited by the community. One such promising game is FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch , a metroidvania that finally has a release date.

The developer TiGames had been ensuring for months that her work would see the light of day in 2021 , but was reluctant to reveal a specific date. Fortunately, during Sony’s digital event it was confirmed that FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch will go on sale starting next September 7 for PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 . This announcement was accompanied by a new trailer with quite a few gameplay excerpts , which we leave just below.

FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch is a project that was supported by Sony as part of the PlayStation Hero China Project initiative , which includes other very promising video games such as Lost Soul Aside . This two-dimensional title will present maps full of secrets in which you will have to fight hand to hand, combining three different types of weapons. It should also be noted that its world of dieselpunk aesthetics is made by the Unreal Engine 4 graphic engine.

As for its main story, FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch is set in Torch City, a city that was under siege by robotic beings six years ago. Players will control Rayton the Rabbit, a character who is part of the Resistance against the invaders and who will do everything possible to save a good friend of his who has been captured.
