Ghost of Tsushima has sold 8 million units: here is the official data shared by the developers of Ghost of Tsushima.
Sucker Punch Production has announced that Ghost of Tsushima , its Japanese-themed RPG adventure, has sold over 8 million units . The official announcement was made via Twitter, as you can see below.
Via the official Twitter account, Sucker Punch wrote : “We’re thrilled and amazed that Ghost Of Tsushima has officially sold more than 8 million copies! Thank you so much to everyone who has played since launch! We are so incredibly appreciative and grateful for the support!”. Following is a short GIF of the protagonist – Jin Sakai – and the supporting actors dancing for joy (obviously not taken from a game scene but made for the occasion).
This data includes both the original PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima, released in 2020, and Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, released on both PS4 and PS5 in 2021, with additional DLC and some technical improvements.
The previous data – the March 2021 – had reported us that Ghost of Tsushima had sold 6.5 million units , which means that in the space of nine months the game has been able to place other 1.5 million.
The success of Ghost of Tsushima is likely to increase thanks to the arrival of the film: the director also explained to us that it will not be the usual low-level adaptation .
