Horizon Zero Dawn will run on the Steam Deck , as shown by Sony’s Shuei Yoshida with a photo on Twitter. This is excellent news, in hindsight, which dispels a bit the doubts of those who feared the hybrid between a portable console and a Valve PC unable to handle very demanding games. Instead it seems that it gets along very well with the PlayStation title.
The photo also shows a good level of detail for Horizon Zero Dawn, net of an obvious reduction in resolution. If we want the photo is also indicative of Sony’s new philosophy, now open to the PC world . Who would have imagined, until a few years ago, to see an exclusive PlayStation title running on a competitor’s console (even if a PC in disguise)?
In short, this photo represents much more than a game that runs on a specific hardware: it is a real declaration of intent towards a slice of the market that is obviously more profitable than many believe. Soon PC gamers will also be able to play the Uncharted 4 collection and God of War.
