Konami’s big brand return plans are quite extensive. After the latest reports from the VGC editorial office, we know which studio will remake Metal Gear Solid 3.
At the end of last week, we informed our readers about an extensive report by VGC journalists, which showed that the Japanese developer wants brands such as MGS, Castlevania or Silent Hill to return in new versions . The market may include not only remasters of the original Metal Gear Solid games for new consoles, but also a completely refreshed and refined production that originally debuted on PlayStation 2.
The Virtuous team is most likely behind the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It seems that after a series of auxiliary projects, the time has come for a completely independent production prepared by developers. The Singapore-based studio previously dealt with, among others, porting Dark Souls and The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch, and also supported the process of preparing AAA titles such as Battlefield 1 or Horizon Zero Dawn.
However, it is said that the position is in the early stage of development and “is more delayed than other proposals”, so we can assume that it will debut on the market later than the projects related to Castlevania or Silent Hill.
Reports about Konami’s handing over the most top brands to external studios have been coming back like a boomerang for several months , but we are impatiently waiting for the official announcements from the manufacturer. Apparently, the Japanese will announce individual projects at next year’s fair.
