New Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania? One of the editors provided information about Konami’s plans.
This week couldn’t end better – the credible editors of Video Games Chronicle published an article in which, based on anonymous sources, states in black and white that Konami soon wants to break the awkward silence and say something more about the biggest brands to which they own the rights.
We are talking here about Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid or Castlevania. Most of these have been talked about very often, but Konami seems to be really focused on bringing his iconic series back to life right now. Andy Robinsson even made an attempt to describe some of the upcoming titles in detail.
The new Castlevania game is to appear on the market as soon as possible, which will be a “transformation” of the series. This item is being developed by Konami’s internal team, with the support of smaller, external teams.
The new Silent Hill
According to earlier rumors, Silent Hill is being developed by external teams – it was not specified exactly which ones, but it may turn out that the native Bloober Team has its fingers in this horror. This is in line with the leak suggesting that the project was commissioned only at the beginning of this year, and we should perfectly remember that it was then that the Polish band finished working on The Medium .
New Metal Gear Solid
VGC also mentioned Metal Gear Solid. Konami has plans to release remasters of the original MGS for new consoles ahead of a larger project that is being developed by an external team based in China. The potential remake, which is actually the third new thing from this brand, is at an early stage of development and is to be a full-fledged refreshment of Metal Gear Solid 3.
At the end, the VGC editorial office announced that Konami has recently changed the approach to its brands due to disappointing sales results of Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps, which turned out to be very poor productions.
