Monster Hunter Stories 2 already has system requirements on PC – it will be easy to move, but it will have Denuvo

Capcom has finally opened a file for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin in the Steam store – that means you can already reserve it or put it on the wish list, for example – and with it, the system requirements of the expected spin-off RPG. In this sense, we take one of lime for another of sand: you do not need a particularly powerful system to play in the best quality, but the infamous Denuvo protection system will be present.

As you can see, none of the suggested components are out of the reach of any computer designed to play games: a GTX 760, a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 and just 4 GB of RAM… as recommended requirements. It will also be quite kind to the hard drive, because it only asks for 28 GB of available space.

The only points that make us raise an eyebrow are the implementation of Denuvo (of course) because of the performance problems it usually causes, and the fact that next to the requirements there is a note that says “the game is expected to run at 1080p 30 FPS “with no clues to a possible frame cap or the hardware needed to move MH at higher frame rates.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 is coming to PC on July 9 alongside the Nintendo Switch version, followed by the PC adaptation of Monster Hunter Rise in 2022. Will the latter also have Denuvo? We’ll see. For now, keep an eye on the new MHR development update, which will be released next week.
