According to some posts on the net, some New World players who are not very sporty abuse the reports to get their opponents banned and win wars.
Apparently there are some players on New World who would do anything to win the Wars, even resorting to unfair means, such as abusing reports to get opponents banned before the clashes.
In New World, the pinnacle of the PvP component is the War mode . These are clashes between two factions of 50 players for the control of a territory and therefore of all the resources and benefits that can be drawn from it. In short, the trends of the wars drastically influence the balance of forces between the factions and give great advantages to the winning players.
As in many other multiplayer titles, even in New World there is a reporting system, through which a player can report another user for offensive or unfair attitudes. Apparently, once a player gets a certain number of reports in a certain period of time they are automatically banned for 24 hours from the game.
However, as PC Gamer reports , there are players who abuse reports to ban users belonging to an opposing Company before a war, thus obtaining a decisive advantage in the fight. An issue reported on Reddit, the steam forums and other social platforms where you can read some examples.
” 50 of the 100 people who are part of my company have been banned. We had to give up the territory that we had obtained with great effort because everyone can press the report button a couple of times? This is madness and we need a fix as soon as possible ” , reads a user’s post on Reddit .
” My Company has a War today and the one we are going up against has flagged our best players to be banned for 24 hours and not let them participate in the battle, ” says another user on the New World forums .
Another post on Reddit, now removed, instead explained in detail how to mass ban the highest level players of an opposing company before a War. A real “do you like to win easy?” Style tutorial.
From this point of view, the responses from Amazon Games are mixed . Some moderators claim that there is in fact an automatic system whereby a player is automatically banned after receiving a certain amount of reports. Others say that every single report is evaluated by a person before being approved. In any case, the hope is that the developers will intervene as soon as possible to put a stop to the ban war.
