No Man’s Sky: Update 3.53 includes higher quality explosions

We’re getting closer to No Man’s Sky’s fifth anniversary and the game continues to improve and expand. In early June 2021, Hello Games introduced the ambitious Prims update that improved graphics and introduced furred creatures and flying pets. Now, with the update 3.53 , Hello Games is concerned with solving some problems caused by Prims and, among others, proposes higher quality explosions.

Specifically, the patch notes of No Man’s Sky 3.53 update reports the following changes:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause some creatures with fur to be missing the hologram effect when in the Space Anomaly
  • Improved ship explosions during space combat
  • Fixed an issue that could cause stars to appear closer than they should in VR
  • Fixed a rare crash related to bases

This is, as you can see, a small set of fixes , but Hello Games will continue to work after the 3.53 update to fix other issues. The team then invites players to report any No Man’s Sky bugs or crashes.
