Outcast’s return in the form of a revamped adventure was just the beginning. THQ Nordic apparently has much bigger production plans and Outcast 2 has just been announced. Check out the first trailer for the game.
In 2019, THQ Nordic acquired the rights to, among others, the Outcast brand, which allowed us to believe that the company has bigger plans for this brand. Now we can confirm that a sequel is coming, which is to use the potential of the current generation consoles and PC.
Outcast initially debuted in 1999, and in 2017, thanks to Appeal Studios, players could see the refreshed version. The remake entitled Outcast: Second Contact debuted on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Appeal Studios is responsible for Outcast 2, which will send players back to the Adelpha planet, and the main character of the story is Commander Cutter Slade. It is he who will try to save the Talans, the indigenous people of this area, from the evil Megacorp. The creators will provide a third-person action adventure, during which we will use a variety of weapons – the game will also include flying with a jetpack. In this case, the protagonist will face the task of building a resistance movement.
The creators of Outcast have resumed cooperation to enrich its fascinating world, inhabited by both dangerous creatures, and by Talan – a race existing since ancient times, whose fate is inextricably intertwined with the fate of the Earth since the events of the first game. You play the role of Cutter Slade, a former American commando whose sour humor hasn’t changed an iota since the 1990s. However, the world around the protagonist has changed – which will also affect him.
Outcast 2 is a continuation of Outcast from 1999 and production is headed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
