Resident Evil fans recreate the original Capcom title in first person with the Unity engine. A demo is available for free download and future updates are promised.
Have you ever thought about what 1996’s Resident Evil would look like in the first person? There has been a lot of debate about whether the third person camera is better than the first person and vice versa . The truth is that both cameras provide a very different experience : both Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8: Village opted for a much more immersive first-person camera, while the classics opted for fixed shots that generated tension by not knowing what to do. we would meet when crossing a corner. Below you can take a look at the first Resident Evil recreated in the Unity engine by PerroAutonomo.
The attached gameplay is a beta version of this curious remake that recreates the Resident Evil scenarios in the first person. As those of you who have played the original title will appreciate, all the rooms of the terrifying Spencer Mansion have been faithfully recreated , in addition to the zombie design. It should be noted that this remake of the first Resident Evil should not be confused with the other first-person remake of Resident Evil HD Remaster that we reported in early July. Both are being developed with different engines -Unity for the original and Unreal Engine 4 for Resident Evil HD Remastered- and those responsible are not the same.
The most notable difference between the two projects is that, in the case that concerns us today, a demo is available for free download . We emphasize that it is a project still in process and that, according to its creators, it is being developed for the love of art and without any profit motive . Fans who are doing this first-person recreation of Resident Evil promise new updates in the future to add new areas and improve some graphics and gameplay aspects.
