Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine only on PS5. Logan’s story is at a “very early stage in development”

Insomniac Games is not slowing down – during the PlayStation Showcase, two new games from this studio, aimed exclusively at PS5, were revealed. Unfortunately, we will have to wait even a few years for Logan … There are many indications that work on the game is just starting.

Rumors have been confirmed –  Insomniac Games is developing a new adventure in the world of Spider-Man ! The project is again managed by Bryan Intihar (creative director) and Ryan Smith (game director), and the adventure will focus on the well-known heroes of two previous productions: Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Developers confirm the use of many new skills, interesting, diverse outfits, as well as battles with previously unavailable opponents. One of them is, of course, Venom, played by Tony Todd – an actor known from the series “Candyman”.  Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter will return as Peter and Miles.

An equally exciting announcement was Marvel’s Wolverine , which the studio has already told a bit about. This is a standalone production for which Brian Horton (creative director) and Cameron Christian (game director) are responsible – the duo developed Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which confirms the important news: waiting for the game for several years, we will have to be patient.

Developers just last year finished developing Miles Morales’ adventure, while the new project is at a very early stage of development:

“As with our Spider-Man games, our goal is not only to respect the DNA of what makes this character so popular, but also to look for opportunities to give it a fresh feel and truly reflect the spirit of Insomniac. Even though Marvel’s Wolverine is in a very early stage of development, from what I’ve seen from the thrilling narrative and state-of-the-art gameplay (…), the team is already creating something really special. ”

There are many indications that at the beginning we will play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (in 2023), and only in the following years (2024/2025) in Marvel’s Wolverine.
