More and more is said about the new version of Seagate Storage Expansion Card prepared for the Xbox Series X | S. There are new materials presenting the device on the web – it remains only to wait for the official announcement and announcement of the price.
The Xbox Series X | S made their debut last year with relatively small drives – while individual titles are getting bigger and bigger, players have to rethink the use of expansion cards. Currently, users of the latest Xboxes can only use Seagate’s offer, which has 1TB of data space. Last month, however, we reported that the situation may slowly change – there were rumors that the manufacturer would introduce a new, smaller card for sale.
New shots of the device appeared on the web – Seagate is indeed tempted to use a smaller expansion card model (512 GB), and promotional materials began to appear at the first American retailers. According to unconfirmed reports, the official announcement can be expected next week, because the equipment will be available for sale, most likely, during the holiday season.
Below you can also see a photo showing a USB SSD that would be used to transfer games between consoles. We are currently unable to run items on the next generation of Americans from USB to mass storage.
The players then wait for the announcement from Seagate and Microsoft. However, the cheaper but smaller version of the card may prove to be an interesting option for many players.
