ClockTuner 2.0 with Ryzen 5000 Processor is Released

ClockTuner 2.0 overclocking tool provides support for Ryzen 5000 series processors.

The 3rd party Ryzen overclocking tool called ClockTuner has been updated to version 2.0 which adds support for Zen 3-based Ryzen processors (Ryzen 5000 series) and a few new features to optimize the performance of Zen 2 or Zen 3 CPUs. ClockTuner 2.0 makes it easy to overclock for Ryzen users while ensuring the highest possible efficiency from your Ryzen processor, regardless of the core count.

ClockTuner can automatically detect exactly what each CCX on your Ryzen chip is capable of. You can fully control which frequency and voltage targets you want to reach with the application. The application then tries to get your targeted inputs as well as possible in all CCXs.

In addition to the Ryzen 5000 support of the ClockTuner 2.0 version, an important new feature is the addition of the CTR Hybrid OC mode , which works like a turbo boost algorithm . ClockTuner produces several profiles that are responsible for operating the processor at different frequencies and voltages. Similar to Turbo Boost, the application keeps voltages and frequencies very low during idle conditions. It then runs in a medium configuration at normal loads, and then at very high loads, raising the voltage and core frequencies as much as possible.

We would like to underline that the application is a 3rd party application that will void your warranty with AMD. Also, there is no guarantee that this software will always work 100%. With an application like ClockTuner, you can always get a static core frequency and core voltage. On the other hand, doing this with today’s high-core processors can also have negative consequences, such as high power consumption and reduced single-core turbo frequencies.
